Hello! My name is Rufus!

Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:

- Rufus struggles in the shelter environment and find a lot of the sounds and activities overwhelming, but he perks right up for cheese, turkey, and head rubs. He's starting to open up and get more comfortable, and was downright playful when he got to see a four-legged girl friend in the yard! All Rufus needs is a kind, loving home that will give him the peace and quiet to relax and come out of his shell.

If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.
