Hello! My name is Turnip!
Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:
- Meet Turnip, a handsome 1-year-old long-haired black cat with a gentle heart and a curious spirit! Turnip was found as a stray and brought to the shelter by a kind Samaritan who had been caring for him for a few days. During that time, Turnip proved to be a complete sweetheart-never showing any signs of aggression and getting along wonderfully with both cats and dogs! His easy-going nature makes him a true gem, and he quickly won over his temporary family with his calm and affectionate demeanor.
Turnip is a loving boy who enjoys being pet and will happily settle in for a bit of snuggle time. While he enjoys being held for short periods, he's not overly demanding and prefers a balance of affection and independence. His curiosity knows no bounds, and he's always keen to explore his surroundings and meet new people or animals.
Because of Turnip's friendly interactions with dogs, he's shown that he's quite comfortable in a household with other pets. However, to ensure his safety, Turnip should remain strictly indoors, where he can avoid potential dangers and live the secure, happy life he deserves.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, and friendly companion who gets along with everyone, Turnip may be your perfect match. He's ready to bring his gentle spirit and loving personality to a home that can offer him the safety and care he needs.
If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.
