Damien (Feral)
Hello! My name is Damien (Feral)!
Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:
- Meet Damien, a 1-year-old brown tabby with a bold and adventurous spirit. Damien came to the shelter alongside another cat, both scared but determined to hold their ground. From the moment he arrived, Damien made it clear that he's not one to back down. He vocalized loudly and charged at the techs during cleaning, as if to remind everyone that he's in charge of his own fate. When humans approached, he would attempt a quick dash for the nearest exit, longing to return to the freedom of the outdoors where he can live life on his own terms.
During his intake, Damien showed his feisty side even more, trying to escape from the feral box and growling loudly when he couldn't make his getaway. It's clear that Damien has a strong, independent streak and prefers to keep his distance from people. His actions show that he is, without a doubt, a feral at heart, and he thrives on the freedom to roam and explore.
Given his definite feral nature, Damien would do best in a home where he can continue to live as a wild cat, free to wander, hunt, and observe from a distance. He would be a perfect candidate for a rural property, barn, or large yard where he can stay active, keep an eye on things, and fulfill his natural instincts. He'd appreciate a warm, safe spot to rest when he's tired and ready to take a break from his adventures.
Damien is not the type of cat who seeks human companionship or affection, but with the right environment, he will live a happy and contented life. If you're looking for a self-sufficient cat who will help keep your property clear of pests and watch over his domain, Damien could be the perfect match. Just remember, he values his independence and needs a space where he can be his wild, free-spirited self.
