- Sage is an adorable 4-month-old brown and white short-haired tabby with a gentle spirit. Rescued alongside her two siblings, she initially arrived at the shelter feeling nervous in her new environment. While she may be a bit shy, Sage isn't completely closed off to affection; she has shown glimpses of her sweet personality as she warms up to her caregivers.
With time and patience, Sage has begun to come out of her shell, but she still occasionally gets spooked and may dart behind her siblings for comfort, letting out a quick hiss to express her unease. This endearing behavior showcases her need for a little extra reassurance as she navigates her new surroundings.
Sage is looking for a loving forever home where she can continue to build her confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. With a little love and understanding, this sweet girl will blossom into a wonderful companion. We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.
