Hoo (semi-social)
Hello! My name is Hoo (semi-social)!
Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:
- Hoo is a beautiful short-haired brown tabby with a unique story. When she arrived at the shelter with three other cats, she was terrified and overwhelmed, making a dash for freedom during her intake. Despite her fear, Hoo never showed aggression; instead, she would freeze in place, wide-eyed and alert-she looked like a little owl taking in her surroundings.
After a week of patience and care, Hoo began to trust her human handlers, and her eyes softened from their initial dilated state. With slow movements and gentle encouragement, she allowed a technician to assess her, showing her sweet nature beneath the anxiety. Following her intake, Hoo underwent surgery and took some time to adjust to her new environment.
As she settled in, Hoo began to come out of her shell, seeking out human interaction by rubbing against the kennel walls and purring loudly in delight. While she is still a bit nervous about being handled, her gentle spirit and resilience shine through. With the right amount of love and patience, Hoo is sure to blossom into a loving companion.
If you're looking for a sweet, semi-social kitty who needs a little extra TLC to feel secure, Hoo could be the perfect match for you!
If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process!
