When he first arrived at the shelter with four other cats, he was absolutely terrified and often tried to dart out of his kennel to escape human contact. With time and patience from our staff, Jax has begun to show signs of improvement, slowly warming up to his surroundings.
While he's still a bit shy, Jax has started to show a slight interest in affection, often accepting gentle pets when approached calmly. He's not quite ready to seek out attention on his own, but with the right environment and a little more time, we believe he'll continue to blossom.

We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.
