Biscuits
Hello! My name is Biscuits!
Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:
- Meet Biscuits, an adorable 2-month-old brown and white tabby with a heart full of sweetness waiting to be discovered. Biscuits came to the shelter with his brother, Gravy, and while Gravy may be the more outgoing one, Biscuits is a bit more reserved. He enjoys taking his time to observe the world around him, carefully assessing his surroundings before diving in.
Though he may be shy at first, once Biscuits feels comfortable, his gentle and affectionate nature shines through. He loves to snuggle up when he feels safe and is a true sweetheart once you've earned his trust. With a bit of patience and gentle encouragement, Biscuits will blossom into a loving companion who's sure to bring joy to his future family.
As a young kitten, Biscuits is still learning about the world, so he should go to a household that will keep him strictly indoors where he can stay safe and grow into a confident, well-adjusted adult cat. He's ready to bring his calm and loving energy to a patient family who will let him settle in at his own pace.
If you're looking for a sweet, reserved kitten who will warm up to you with a little time and love, Biscuits may be your perfect match!
If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.

Española Humane
Española Humane offers free services and innovative programs to help suffering pets in underserved communities. For over three decades, we have managed an open-door shelter that welcomes every animal without charge because we believe the most humane approach is to never turn away an animal in need. Spay/neuter access is critical to our mission, and our clinic is completely free to pets in Española, Rio Arriba County, and the surrounding Pueblos.
We’re determined to make a lasting difference and to squeeze every penny out of each donated dollar: 89% of your gift goes directly to the animals.

Become a foster superhero.
Fostering can be as easy as having a litter of young ones in a spare bathroom before they go to an adoption event. Or, maybe you’d like an adult to spend time with your family, just to see how that pet transforms with a little love and attention. We promise it’ll be rewarding.
Join our team of volunteers
Volunteers help every facet of our work, from support at the shelter to helping with adoption events to assistance with animal transport. We provide the training and the welcoming environment. Meet new people, learn new skills, and feel good about helping animals.
Need help finding your pet?
80% of pets are found within a mile of where they went missing. Start searching right away and use printed flyers so people can call you with sightings. An ID tag or microchip will make it a lot easier to find your pet. Hopefully, they’ve already been found and are at our shelter.
