Yoshi

Hello! My name is Yoshi!

Here’s what my friends at Española Humane say about me:

- Meet Yoshi, a 5-year-old gray and white charmer with a heart full of love! Yoshi's journey began as part of a feral colony, but thanks to the kindness of a good Samaritan, he found his way to us. While he wasn't getting along with the other outside cats, he's proven to be an incredibly affectionate and sweet boy with humans.

Yoshi may have started out as a feral cat, but you'd never guess it now! He's turned into a total lovebug and is always looking for a little extra attention. You'll often find him lounging in his kennel, lying on his back with his paws up in the air, staring out at the world and waiting for someone to make eye contact. Once you do, get ready-he'll greet you with loud, loving cries and happily rub against the bars of his kennel, purring with delight. He's a playful and social boy who just wants to be noticed and adored.

Though he's shown an interest in being an outdoor cat, Yoshi's affectionate nature would make him an amazing indoor companion as well. With a little patience, he will surely thrive in a home where he can be showered with the love and attention he craves. His sweet, endearing personality makes him a wonderful candidate for anyone looking for a playful, loving, and interactive cat to share their space with.

If you're looking for a kitty with a lot of heart and a playful spirit, Yoshi might just be the perfect fit for you! He's ready to leave his feral past behind and settle into a home where he can be the cherished, affectionate companion he was always meant to be.

If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.

Become a foster superhero.

Fostering can be as easy as having a litter of young ones in a spare bathroom before they go to an adoption event. Or, maybe you’d like an adult to spend time with your family, just to see how that pet transforms with a little love and attention. We promise it’ll be rewarding.

Join our team of volunteers

Volunteers help every facet of our work, from support at the shelter to helping with adoption events to assistance with animal transport. We provide the training and the welcoming environment. Meet new people, learn new skills, and feel good about helping animals.
