- Meet Tina, a delightful four-month-old puppy with a charming black and white coat that's as striking as her personality. This little bundle of joy is an absolute wiggly girl, her entire body wriggling with excitement whenever she's happy. Tina's boundless energy and affectionate nature make her an irresistible companion for someone active and ready to take on all that a puppy has to offer. She adores cuddles and can't get enough of being petted, often nuzzling close to soak up every bit of love you have to offer. With her sweet disposition and lively spirit, Tina is sure to bring endless joy and warmth to anyone lucky enough to meet her!
If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an application to get a jump start on the process! We don’t offer holds on shelter pets, so c’mon in to meet and greet to decide if you’ve met your match. Applications for pets in foster care, at Ojo Santa Fe, or offsite in other programs will be reviewed by staff before appointments are scheduled.

For over three decades, we have managed an open-door shelter that welcomes every animal without charge because we believe the most humane approach is to never turn away an animal in need. Spay/neuter access is critical to our mission, and our clinic is completely free to pets in Española, Rio Arriba County, and the surrounding Pueblos.

Fostering can be as easy as having a litter of young ones in a spare bathroom before they go to an adoption event. Or, maybe you’d like an adult to spend time with your family, just to see how that pet transforms with a little love and attention. We promise it’ll be rewarding.
Join our team of volunteers
Volunteers help every facet of our work, from support at the shelter to helping with adoption events to assistance with animal transport. We provide the training and the welcoming environment. Meet new people, learn new skills, and feel good about helping animals.
Need help finding your pet?
80% of pets are found within a mile of where they went missing. Start searching right away and use printed flyers so people can call you with sightings. An ID tag or microchip will make it a lot easier to find your pet. Hopefully, they’ve already been found and are at our shelter.
